$160 an hour...2 hours = $320. A little more than I thought it would cost, but I guess it's still a decent deal.

No, if he had gone higher boost I would have been at 90-95% injector duty cycle, but the final map was only 85% IDC.

I finally got that ho outta my apartment so I could read your review . I'm wiggin out here now about the fact that your car was detonating at higher rpms. I'm gonna have to figure out when I can reschedule. It sounds like they must have adjusted their dyno cuz stage 2 obviously gives you more than 20 whp.

Crap, now I'm gonna be drivin my car like an old woman until I get a tune.

Well I had planned on a Protune this summer regardless just because I was worried about:

1. Running rich (fouling spark plugs, etc.)
2. Detonation (Josh told me about this a while back but I didn't think it would happen unless I had a bad tank of gas - clearly I was wrong )

Muffnbluff couldn't make the slot so I ended up stepping in, otherwise it would have been down the road. This is all for power mods (famous words, yes, yes )

Yeah man, though the numbers don't say it, the torque curve and the boost coming on that early definitely can be felt. The power is so readily available... But most of all, my car's not running like crap now, so it's smooth in the lower gears. I haven't had the space to try out the higher gears yet.

Slaying hoodrats is your part-time job man You shoulda done it Crewchief style and whored IWSTI before you got on her

It's obviously specific to each car Kurt, so your car might be running safe (and stronger ) while mine was detonating. However, you have an intake, and increased air coming in on the shelf map could lean out your mixture and make it detonate (hell, my snorkus delete could have done it...). Jorge said that any little variation from what Cobb says for their shelf map can make the car run wrong (like I had the intake elbow, and Cobb says only TBE for stage 2). No idea man. I asked Jorge how you know your car is detonating, and he said you just feel it (you could kind of see the engine vibrate funny when it happend, and he said that can be felt through the pedals and the vibration in the cabin). He said that it's a supersonic wave, and that if you ever hear detonation, it's like an M80 going off in your combustion chamber That's why they pulled timing on the early 04s where people were hearing it.

I have no idea, I'll admit that. But it makes me happy to know the car is running safe now. Thanks for quitting your job Kurt They said something about scheduling tunes 1-4 pm Monday - Friday, so the evening tune might not be an option anymore.
