Takata Time Attack STI

Here is a look inside the build of the Takata time attack car built by P&L motorsports, this car has already been blasting away its compition in the time attack curcuit. The driver James Elterman is such an outstanding driver and all the credit just cannot be given to the car. I will keep this updated as we get futher along in this build, also check out some of the write ups James is adding to this build.

Preparations began on May 14th. We will be shaking the car down at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois at a NASA Time Trial on July 19-20. Shortly after the Takata Team will make its Time Attack debut at a Redline Time Attack at Nashville Super Speedway on July 26-27.

Roll cage is being finished up, so we can get this thing in the paint booth.

Its nice sometimes to see the actual detail that goes into a roll cage, so here are a few pics of the nice welding and precise positioning of the piping.

The car was taken to the paint booth yesterday, should see it in about a week or so, and then back here for the engine transplant.
