Default RAPTR's 06 OBP STI (New Varis Carbon Trunk)

Start with some history.
Bought it in June of 2005 from Flatiorn Subaru of Boulder, CO (Highly suggest anyone to that dealership). We now reside in Concord, CA where the weather is predictable and I don't get so many rock chips. I'm my own mechanic so basically as soon as I got the car in my hands I started to get the mod sickness and that's all she wrote on spare time and money. Met some great people because of this car and now some of them I would call brothers. I want to thank the iwsti.com community for helping me everystep of the way. Please, at anytime you have questions about what I did and how to do it, you may pm me anytime. We have a new addition to the family, we traded in our 05' LGT for a 09' FXT (I love this car!). I hope you enjoy. Also, below is a list of installs and removals that I have performed so if you have any questions please ask.

This hood seems to have many questions assosicated with it so heres some info.
First of all the manufacturer is Seibon out of Southern California. I bought it from South Coast Subaru and the contact there is Ferdie. You can also find him on NASIOC.com. South Coast Subaru is a vendor on that site. Also, many, many vendors sell Seibon. The hood cost $630 shipped (I'm sure you can find it cheaper but I used Suby Bucks). There is some minor fabrications on this hood becasue it was not the OEM Carbon fiber hood. You cannot utilize the oem splitter anymore unless you fabricate something but in my oppinion you don't need to becasue the hood scoop is so much bigger. My engine temps went down signifigantly. You can still have the oem windshield washer sprayers; there are holes in the hood but you must enlarge them to fit. I had to attach the IC sprayer to the intercooler. I reused all the oem weather stripping. The overall fittment was good but not perfect. Hood pins are something I think about but the hood doesn't move when I drive so it's not a priority for me. Let me know if there is any other questions.

This pic below is of the Grimmspeed X-pipe. I wrapped the flex joint because is silences the "sowing machine" sound.
I would suggest this Crucial/Grimmspeed set-up to anyone who wants to maintain their "stock" appearence and doesn't want to
worry about a cracked header. I know cracking doesn't happen very often but I also wanted to utilizes the stock heat shields.

Below is a pic od the cusco mounts.

For the Next two images I decided to gather all the nessary parts for the inevitible AVCS line/Turbo oil feed line. I want to replace it before it fails.
If you want to know more please ask or check out Turbo oil-feed / AVCS line replacement . Remember to get replacement copper seals for the banjo bolts and fittings. Also, in the shopping list below if you want a tighter fit order the 14" line over the 16" line but either one works. There are different places to order this stuff but on the list are url's where someone found what was needed.

I really like Whiteline sways bars if I wanted a solid bar, but they are so heavy to me.
The Cobb bars are tubular so they are very light. They only downfall is that Cobb doesn't make any bigger bars but IMO they are plenty big with
out over kill. I believe I will get the adjustable rear mounts but that's not a prioty for me.

40mm of Carbon loving!
