Default STI Dy's Black Ninja **8/19/08 Update**

Take a look at these pics because all is about to change!!! Some parts have been spread across the living room and garage since Thanksgiving. I just took the car to World One Performance.

Let's start from the beginning. Here's the previous car, a 93 Integra. I miss that car. The best mod was the Remus exhaust with the rectangle tailpipe that I had installed around 96 before the tunner market exploded with melon launcher mufflers. My good friend Aaron was there with me just about every time a mod was done on this car.

After many years with Teg I got sick of replacing the igniter every few years, was probably the MSD setup, it was going on it's 4th igniter. After having a 92 Civic, 93 Integra, and a 94 Integra it was time to grow up and get out of the Honda game so in February 07 I walked four blocks away to Carter Subaru and bought this without even test driving it:

My buddies took the Integra to their car lot on a flatbed. They ripped out the MSD, fixed various things, and consigned it for me. Thanks Scott and Byron.

As soon as I got the STi an aftermarket alarm went in with every possible sensor and a remote trunk release. As soon as I got my plates and the temp came off the rear window the car got some shades, 15% all around

It was now off to Subiefest 07 with Aaron and Scott. Came back with Zero/Sports intake, radiator and oil caps. A month later Zero/Sports hood scoop air splitter, radiator shroud, and my Cobb AP

No mods until February of this year. Pioneer Avic D3 setup, black JDM center dash and vents, OZ Ultrleggeras wrapped with Potenza RE-01Rs, and a Perrin lightened crank pulley. The wheels didn't go on right away since the stock wheels had snow tires and Seattle wasn't done with snow yet. About this time I met "twp4ever" and sold him my RE070s.

In April the STi got a new stance, Cusco Zero 2Es with the eCon, which was installed at World One Performance. I actually had to raise the car about a half inch because the car was barely making it in and out of the garage ramp at work.

Now for the fun stuff, to list out all the parts. Almost half of this list are parts that invaded my living room floor and garage, the other half was bought from World One. The car and all the parts are now in the hands of Garret's crew at World One.

I'm sure my wife is happy that the living room floor is clear again. I have to thank my good friend Aaron for listening to me talk on and on about this project and giving me advice. Thanks to Jim for letting me use work for receiving. Thanks Scott for helping cart most of this stuff down today and thanks Garret for all your help. Tim Bailey's protune will have to be rescheduled for now because of the AP to Hydra upgrade, my initial appointment was for an AP tune. I'll post pics when I get the car back. Garret at World One is estimating 400 WHP on pump gas and 450-460 WHP with the Hydramist I won't hold him to it but we'll see what the dyno numbers show, don't worry I'll post the tune results too.

***Update 7/20/08***

Well by the time this project is done it will have been in World One's shop for a full month. While it was in there waiting for parts I would add more. The car is all together but they were fighting a problem on the Hydra 2.6 and that is getting shipped back to them right now. So again while it was in the waiting process Garret and I decided to add some more parts.

Cusco Type OS Front Strut Bar
Cusco Type OS Rear Strut Bar
Cusco Triangle Type Supplementary Bar
Perrin Front Endlinks
Perrin Rear Endlinks
Perrin 25mm Front Sway Bar
Perrin 25mm Rear Sway Bar
Element Competition Catch Can

***Update 7/23/08***

Went down to World One to try and pick the car up. No go on the Hydra EMS so Trent tuned the stock map as a temporary solution from my trip. Garret and and I took it for a spin and OMG! It's only a temp map with low boost and without the Hydramist but this thing is going to be a beast when it's complete.

***Update 8/19/08***

This project is almost two months old. It took so long because of the new Hydra EMS and harness issues with my 07. Garret and his crew worked hard to keep the ball rolling but it was in the hands of Hydra so I can't World One. The car is ready for Phil, from Element Tuning, to do his magic this week. I decided to get a different sub enclosure so we can add some more parts that Garret and I talked about.

Audio Integrations Sub Enclosure
Spec C Intercooler Tank (for Element Hydramist)
Cusco Triangle Type Supplementary Bar

Let me know what you guys think. I'll post pictures after I get the car back and numbers after the dyno session which will be at Kito Auto Sport.

We've probably at eachother. Next time you see me give a few honks so I know it's you or come by and say hi. The STi crowd is growing in the northend but I don't think we'll ever outnumber the Lynnwood Honda crowd. The 240s seem to be the new Honda up there.

Good looking car!

Wow, so World One is going to install all of those parts and tune the car? Looks like a major transformation. Look forward to the final results....expected HP & TQ?

15% visibility tint all the way around? I thought mine was dark at 22%.

What are your goals for the car? Straight line speed for the 1/4? Any autox planned?
