IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Here is the latest project machine...a 2008 STI that will get some basic performance upgrades over the next month or two. So far I have added a COBB AP to fix the terrible factory Subaru ECU mapping, a set of 19x9.5" VOLK TE37 wheels with 265/30/19 Goodyear F1 tires, a Subaru Sport grille and some custom tint to tone down the ugly ricer tail lights! Next up will be some very cool custom 3pc wheels, COBB DP, Perrin headers, COBB sway bars, COBB short shifter, stainless brake lines, custom alignment and maybe a Protune by Clark Turner **More mods and updates! IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | I have recently added a COBB catted DP in conjunction with their Stage2 91 octane map. The car feels great, boost comes on sooner and the car continues to pull better after 5500rpm. I give this round of mods a big Rob P.S. Buy my Volks before my new wheels arrive! |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Just wondering... How much for the Volk's with tires??? And what is the offset at? I'm assuming fender rolling will be required if one is to go with a 1.5 to 2 inch lower ride height??? |

Hey, nice looking ride. I was wondering if you think those rims would rub/fit if they had a 48 offset ..? -Garrett

There would be zero rubbing if the wheels were +48mm. Seriously though even with my current set up the rubbing is very minor and only on the rear. If I was to add 0.5deg of camber or do 2mins of rear fender rolling they would never rub again.

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Quick update... Today we installed the Cusco front lower brace and rear subframe braces. Both parts went on very easily and appear to be very well engineered but we won't be able to take full advantage of the additional chassis rigidity until the next round of suspension upgrades are on the car. The next round will include the unbeatable KW VARIANT 3 coil-over kit and the COBB adjustable sway bars. There is also more power just around the corner |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | Fresh update! The HREs are on! Today we installed a set of custom HRE COMP C93 3pc wheels on the Project STI. These were custom built for the '08> STI in 19x9.5" with the perfect offset to fill out the fenders with zero rubbing. They are finished in a unique Satin Charcoal powder coat for long lasting and low maintenance use. The HRE COMP series uses weight-optimized machining and Titanium hardware to keep the weight under 22lbs each which is very good for a strong 19x9.5" wheel. Hope you like them PM me if you are interested in buying the set at a very attractive price! Last edited by Tuner1; 07-18-2008 at 05:56 PM. Reason: . |
