That guy looks really legit. If you don't mind me asking, how much did a setup like this set you back?

Not my style but good start I guess. I would have gone with some performance parts instead

hahaha, yea i know but the car drives pretty well stock and the stock sound system was just such crap that I had to invest in it first. But agreed, Stage 2 will be on with some kw's when it's time.

nice set up!

i espeically liked how you have the new tweeters molded into the a pillars! does that interfer with the srs?

I honestly have no idea... 50 lbs or more? but I'm a terrible driver, so the first thing that'll have to change is my driving improvement, rather than the car. If i can get to the point of driving where I'm as fast as the local greats driving my car, then i'll consider removing the trunk contents for races. but right now, a big PITA to unplug and rewire, so i don't want to bother with such a clean install.

it was a worry of mine when i was considering a system, but I need a sound system everyday and i will only auto-x once or twice a month at best. it's worth it.

according to the installer, shouldn't affect the SRS at all. The whole trim pops off when the SRS deploys, and the tweeter doesn't affect the deployment. As the SRS deploys, it will shoot the A pillar trim towards the front windshield and cover the front windows...

:: knock on wood :: but if i ever get into an accident and the damn thing doesn't deploy, i'll let you know.

The system will take like a 10th off you time. Thats the least of you're worries. Like you said, driver skill is the biggiest improvement that can be made. Stock sound bugs the crap out of me too!! I wouldnt even consider removign that system EVER. No matter how competive I get, just more reason to brag when you beat someone.
