Pics of the sti. A little dirty from our trip to NY but here she is. I will update this with the story and more in a bit.

Also I just got a package today... so let the modding begin.

Not a huge fan of the look but I'll take any help I can get in the anti paint chipping dept.

taillight tint is now on.
So I decide to call a guy who I know to be awesome at tinting windows to do these for me as I don't want to mess them up. Well he does the hatch ones in like 5 minutes then comes the fun part. He hasn't worked with vinyl in this way before so this is his first time. I can hear him *****ing and putting it on and taking it back off and I'm thinking that it can't be good. Well he did a pretty good job with the exception of the top on each side. there are a bunch of little creases, but he said on the next warm day I should be able to get them out.(we'll see but I doubt it) This is where the story gets interesting. The first thing he says to me upon seeing the film is why aren't you painting them. He then goes on to tell me he has candied and cleared a bunch of lights and they look awesome and won't fade(at least not for many years) Then I tell him how a separate set of tails are pricey and I don't want to try with my only set. He then mentions that he knows the people over at Vermont Sports Car. The same people who prep the Subaru rally cars and he will see if they have any lying around(doubt it but cool of him to offer) because he said they had a couple of the new sti's over there right now. So its a long shot but if I can pick up a spare set it would be cool to see how the painted ones would turn out. Sorry for the long read/

Thanks for looking, Casey

Looking good bro. From one EPHatcher to another, I hope your car looks as dope as your EP did.

the tails look good! but im not so sure the creases will not come out.... i applied my first set of overlays myself and it came out with lots of creases. the triangles were no problem for me tho cuz its a flat surface. so for my second set of corner tail tint, i called around many shops in my area and they either tried to charge me $100 or just flat out declined due to level of difficulty.

Is it very hard to keep the car clean with that color??

Thanks guys. Yes the black is hard to keep clean but I love it when it is. I wish the tails would have come from the factory looking like that.

Thanks guys. I got the overlays from bluebat on this site. Honestly I only got the flaps because I wanted to deter any paint chipping I am slacking in the mod department right now. I almost bought some volks and an exhaust but I came to my senses and payed off some bills first. I am trying to dig myself out from my last car before I start on this one
