Ive waited a while to start a journal, now that I have an idea of what I would like to do with the car I figured I would start one. This is the first wave of parts. Heres a few pics of what Ill be working with for my 20g build. The turbo is a Deadbolt 20g, ARC FMIC, UR 44mm EWG, and a set of RCE Yellows. Im heading up to Agile Auto on Tuesday to pick up the second wave of parts

Nice set up there. That turbo looks familiar for some reason....

Saw you have an external wastegate set up there. Glad you went with the 44mm. V-bands are so much nicer. Did you have them weld the internal gate or are you just going to bracket it?

Haha, thanks again for the great deal on the 20g!

V-band FTW! I didnt want to deal with the 38mm issues. He didnt weld it shut. I am going to fab up a bracket for it when I go to install everything.

I was originally going to get the DeatschWerks 740's, but Hill at Agile said the 850's were going to be a better choice. When I go to Agile on Tuesday ill be picking them up along with some other parts.

Well I have been really busy at work and didnt have time to update this like I wanted to. After an all day install and funeral that morning we got the turbo put in. We pulled the intake manifold off so Agile could port the TGVs, but ill get back to that after the pics. Here are some pictures of the install coming together. Everything went on without issue and was going great until disaser struck, but more on that after the pics also.

All taken apart and ready for install..

Alright now onto what went wrong. The original plan was to leave the intake manifold off for Agile to port my TGVs. Towards the end of putting everything together it started to rain. The intake ports were obviously pluged and we had Mcguivered a canopy. The following morning it rained when we were in PA for a friends funeral. The hood was closed, but rain somehow managed to get in (possibly from the hoodscoop). When I got it up to agile they pulled it in and I was shocked. They drained the water, put the Manifold back on and did a compression test. Cylinder 1 and 2 are gone. Ill being getting a new shortblock it seems. Ive already talked to Ron at Axis and I will possibly be ordering it tonight. I highly doubt there will be any head damage, but the possibility is there regardless of how slim.

Water got in the head and one of the valves was open, went right to the cylinders. Cylinder 1 and 2 showed like 40 and 50. Way low and not even worth limping around on for a bit.

There is no reason for them to pay for it, it happend in my care.

Best we can think is that water entered through the hood scoop, went down the charge piping and dripped into the port. The port was covered but we (as in me and my friends that did the install, not Agile) used rags to cover them, soaking up the water. Im gonna see if Hill can send me the pics later on tomorrow and ill post them then. Its just one of those unfortunate things that happend and now my wallet suffers.
