Default Gil's '08 DGM STI - Mammoth Express II

I picked up my ride on February 5, 2008, from Subaru of Sherman Oaks before going in to work. On the way to work, stalled it on Benedict Canyon road thanks to the hill holder feature.

The reason I'm calling it the Mammoth Express II is because my '94 Explorer was the original Mammoth Express since my friends and I made a lot of trips to Mammoth in that truck. I'm hoping I will have an opportunity to go to Mammoth just as much, this time with not only my friends, but with my wife and 2 boys (with the 2d boys eta being mid-July!)

Coming from an MX-5, an STI is a beast to be sure, but of course I couldn't just be happy with my ride in stock form. Oh, no. I HAD to mod it to fit my wants and needs.

Here is a list of mods in place according to my wants:

LatheWerks Aluminum Sphere Shift Knob + RedlineGoods Perforated Black Leather with Silver Double Stitching Shift & E-Brake Boots

UPDATE 7/2/08:
Newest want...Lamin-X headlight and tailight films (in light smoke cause I don't want no trouble from the Po-Lees):

"Wants" Not Pictured:
Cobb AccessPORT V2
Cobb Catted Downpipe
OEM STI Plate Frame

Here is a list of mods in place according to my needs:
OEM Cargo Carrier Rails + OEM Bike Rack x2

OEM Body Side Molding

Stebel Nautilus Air Horn

Rally Armor Urethane Splash Guards w/Red Lettering - not the most elegant looking pieces but they get the job done and are top quality

"Needs" Not Pictured:
OEM Cargo Net
PIAA Ion-Yellow Bulbs in the Fogs

Thumbs up Re: Gil's '08 DGM STI - Mammoth Express II

My dyno plot is attached below. After looking at this, Dan Harman at Harman Motive informed me that Cobb's got it dialed in and a Pro-Tune would be redundant! to Dan!

As for the Stage 2 - I highly recommend when you compare what you spend and what you get. Not that the car was slow to begin with, it seems much more responsive in Stage 2. The car sounds better and pulls harder.

I'd really like to see some more pictures of the shift knob.

I've been pondering that notion lately. I currently have the STi titanium shift knob from my 05 STi short shifter (stole it when I traded it in).

There is another angle of the knob in my homepage. Kinda looks the same from all angles The knob comes down far enough that it does not interfere with the reverse lockout ring but covers all the bits underneath the same as the stock knob.

Can you post some pics from a couple of angles, but further away (include the whole car) that have the roof rack and side molding in the frame?

Did you have to remove the bumper to mount the air horn?

(I have the same Britax mod... wagon really helps lugging baby stuff around!)
