The bumper may not be cracked in any functional way, but there are two small tabs on the underside of the bumper that attach with clips to the front bumper frame or something. These tabs easily snap off - both of mine are already broken. In order to install the DIY front lip that I plan on doing I'll probably use two aluminum plates in these positions to "stabilize" the lower lip of the bumper.

That damage does suck, and i vote for the cheapest solution, like everyone is saying, do your own labor, order the parts, send it to get painted... should be alot cheaper

So, drop something on your hood on purpose, and now you have a reason!!! I still say get an aftermarket hood! Be different!!!

I'm really surprised... Absolutely love Subaru.

Got the alignment done, no problems, nothing mechanically wrong with the car. They detailed the car for free too and put everything back together as well as they could. I only paid $94 for everything instead of the $1656 something...

Everything popped back into place nicely, the only thing that still needs to be fixed are maybe a few popclips under/around the bottom of the bumper, and the plastic fender liner isn't there on the drivers side.

I love it!

There's a guy on Nasioc who does great paint work, he could fix that bumper pretty cheap. IIRC he charged me under $100 to repaint my front bumper.

Damn man glad to see the damage wasn't too bad and more importantly nothing happened to you. It sounds like it was a good time for a bit though. I've had a bunch of guys with minis, a 350z, and a wrx at my work trying to get me to some autox's recently but haven't yet. I will live through your pics for now

Glad to hear it went back together ok. Mine also snapped back into place after hitting a truck tire tread at ~80 mph, although some screw holes on the right side are stretched a little now. Fender liners are still ~$45 from subaru, even the new cars (that's what I recently paid for '02 liners as well).
