IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2005 Trader Rating: (9) | I did mine the same way, just bought a WRB WRX Fog Light cover for $15 or so, used self tapping screws and mounted it. I did trim the edge of my plate off, both things are illegal in CA so I took it off. ![]() ^^^^ Look at the border of the plate, you'll notice it is ever so smaller now. Basically the ridge that pops up, after it has been pressed was cut off with some metal sheers. Sorry to high-jack your thread ![]() -Gio |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2007 Trader Rating: (6) | its easy actually...just take one of those aluminum metal mesh grates and cut a circular piece slightly bigger than the fog cover hole. place it on the back end and then use some duct tape to wrap it around. dont need too much as the air duct hose should hold it well in place and even that should be held in pretty tight as well (as long as its the 3"). everything comes out absolutely snug, fit, and light for this mod, its perfect for the benefits you can gain from it. Joe ur a genius with these custom homemade mods which i thank you so much for. my car is a slight replica of his. everything i have are what he already has. lol. btw, i like the plate mounted on the side the best. knock on wood that i havent gotten into any trouble for not having mine on yet. but if and when the time comes, i too was planning on putting it on the side... |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | What kind of spoiler do you have? The one I'm interested in, I only see overseas and can't find That spoiler looks great as well as the rest of the car. There are a few spoilers I would replace the factory one w/ and that is definately one of them. Badass as car! |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | Joe, if you could explain what you bought / did for that side mount plate, i would be appreciative as well... I've not been hassled for not having a front plate yet, but i know a few people who have locally so when the time comes i'd probably prefer that type of mount |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 Trader Rating: (13) | Thanks all for the compliments! The wing is a Syms Replica The license plate bracket is just a generic plate mount that is bolted to the fog cover. I then used door edge moulding to cover the edge of the plate. Exhaust is not stock but a Cobb turbo back. Joe |
