Spaceman.. question regarding fitment of the tailpipe sections onto the muffler section:

I see that the tailpipe slip joints are notched/slotted. Does the muffler outlet have corresponding pegs onto which those notches mate up with for proper alignment of the tips?

In other words, if one were to step on either tailpipe section, it would rotate the section downward or be fixed in position due to physical design other than the band clamps?

I understand welding is always an option, just curious.

The tips are free to move around inward and outward and they can spin 360 degrees so you can line them up just right. There aren't any notches or pegs.

Here is what's happening next:

I will be ordering a catted downpipe (Invidia) and I am looking for an intake.
After I get these goodies I plan on getting a pro-tune, can't wait.
