Where do you plan on having it tuned? I've been looking around, but i haven't really heard who are the better subie tuners along the front range.

Unfortunately the list of tuners around here, from what i have read, is VERY limited, and even then, only a few names get some praise... but nothing like the praise Chriss at XXtuning gets, or Scott Siegel from the west coast.... i was planning on contacting Harvey in boulder. From what i heard he may or may not be working at super rupair still, but he still tunes on appointment apparently.

While i was re-painting the trim around the shifter, i took the opportunity to do the STi logo in the shifter trim as well.... ^^ a taste of the flat black that was used in other parts of the car as well

**Doe to a few requests, i'll be working very soon on piecing a how-to together on my interior... i purchased the HVAC control overlays from GraphicSTi and it kinda took off from there... i then painted the silver trim on the dash around the hazard button, radio, and shifter a flat black. I then repainted part of the trim along w/ the red STi logo. I also just finished painting the A pillars the same flat black and honestly, im loving the transformation... its just a tad slow cause i cant find the time to do all of it. I still need to do the vent rings (which im having trouble removing, the B and C pillars, then i'll probably move onto the map light trim, the OH SH*T handles, etc.... all the plastic.... then just gotta think of something to do for the headliner....) its been a fairly cheap and good looking mod so far and ill keep this thread posted if i get around to my how-to

Well, i'll probably use Harvey for just my simple stage 2... but i have given it serious thought about going somewhere w/ a more known reputation for when i do my turbo upgrade. Theres the option of trying to get a big tuning event going and getting someone to fly out and tune a bunch of cars, or driving somewhere within a reasonable distance

Yeah, it was only used for 600 miles the guy claimed and i got a SMOKIN deal on it so no complaints i'm itchin to put it on, but i dont remember what it takes to bolt up to the stock DP, and i dont have a jack, jackstands, a lift, anything like that at my disposal ATM so i cant really do it now anyway

Heh, honestly i opened the box, looked at it, took a pic, closed the box, moved it outta the way in the garage and came inside lol.... i think i'll go take it out the box and give it a once over though

If anyone knows off the top of their head what it takes to run the 3" mated to stock DP lemme know.... if not i'll just have to suck it up and wait until i get my protune

With the arrival of my G200, I have been emailing my tuner, but hes hard to get ahold of and somewhat slow to respond recently....
With plans of going ProTuned stg 2.... i'll be using / getting the following:

Invidia Bellmouth Catless DP
G200
walbro 255lph
Cobb V2 AP

Anyone have any other suggestions on what i should also slap on before the tune? The tuner mentioned a short ram but im not really sure if i want one or which brand to get... dont want CAI cause of the Colorado weather

Get some injectors to go with that fuel pump.

Looks good brother.. Honestly do Injectors if you can that is, look at my thread and see my numbers with and without injectors.. I mean there is so many guys stating you dont need them, and if your plans are for just a DP and CBE and a tune yeah your probably gonna be good.. But I see what your about..... Your like me your hooked and your gonna keep modding and injectors are needed either way one of the most important supporting mods.. On the intake, I wouldnt do a short ram if thats the case just get a K&N drop in.. I mean I love my APS CAI but if you dont want to do it stay with the stock box with a KN.

My tune thread

wow... those numbers are a nice upgrade, i just glanced at the before and after, didnt read anything though..... I was planning on a KnN drop in but when my tuner mention short ram i kinda started thinking for the future..... as i would with the injectors too if i bought em, would buy em for future use with the GT30 when i decide on that and get the ball rolling..... I'm trying my hardest to get Tuned ASAP cause this damn exhaust is driving me nuts just sitting in the box.... the intake or fuel pump, now injectors lol, its all a good idea but just that much more $$ i gotta save we'll see how soon uncle sam is gonna send me my check... should get about 1k back + whatever i qualify for for the economic relief check from George W...... I got all the time in the world, but the patience of a 2 yr old when it comes to my car and mods.....

As far as the intake, there are a lot of debates whether it helps or not. Honestly at this stage of your car, a short ram or cai wont do much. Now, I have one on my car, i didnt notice a difference, but i love the noise of it. However, if you are planning on upgrading turbo and everything soon, you might want to hold off. Depending on if you upgrade to a FMIC or not, the CAI or SR might not be compatiable with the piping of the FMIC. Just a thought.
