Default World One's Project Time Attack GC8

We've been working on this for awhile now, but we just haven't had a chance to post up pics given the new 08 STI and Evo X we're also working on. This one happens to be for a customer of ours, and it's sole purpose is to be an unlimited class time attack competitor. We are further along than these pictures indicated, but I will put up more pics later. We started with a GC8 shell, which we had a cage fabricated and seam welded in by Dave Clark Motorsports:

To finish off some of the electrical bits, we took delivery of a wrecked STI donor car:

So what's in store for this car? Here's what's on the schedule for the motor:

- STI Motor
- Element Tuning GT52 Turbo
- Element Tuning Hydra EMS
- TurboXS FMIC
- Perrin modified injectors
- Walbro fuel pump
- Perrin Turbo Inlet
- TurboXS short ram

We also have the following lined up too:

- STI 6-speed transmission with DCCD
- ACT Clutch and Flywheel
- Full STI dash and gauge swap, including HVAC
- Seibon Carbon Kevlar Seats
- Takata Harnesses

Obviously, the motor and drivetrain/electrical is the highest priority right now, so the suspension and exterior/aero bits are still being discussed with our customer. Once we are done here its off to the paint shop!!! I'll post more photos soon!!

Taking "dropping the motor and tranny" to a whole other level...

Since everyone's been raving about the cage, here's some close-ups of it. Great care was taken to reinforce the cage at all of the mounting points, and you can also see that the chassis was seam-welded as well to add rigidity. The cage also goes through the firewall and connects to the strut tops in the engine bay as well, connecting all the points properly.

Making progress...

Engine bay completely empty...

Painted the engine bay and started putting in the wiring...

Fun with cabin wiring...

Getting the dash in and the wiring...

And we've got the motor and tranny in too...

Why not clean all the parts when you have the space to?
