Default Found an STI in a parking lot, took it home

First day. It was sitting in a parking lot, dirty and ragged as hell. A lot of dirt on it. It was so poorly treated and neglected, it only had 8 miles on the odometer. I felt pitty for it and took it home...

Second day. I gave it a nice warm place to sleep at night.

Today, third day. Seems much sharper today. Check out that grin.

Nice looking car. That color/wheel combo is the only one that I would consider if I were looking for a new STi.

I paid full MSRP ($39,995 something like that...). I got the door ding, rim damage and windshield protection warranty too. Out the door was about $42,000.

I guess I didn't know such things existed... Could DEFINITELY pay for itself!

Thanks to everyone for your support. I wish my gf was as supportive.

It all started when I got home last Friday evening. It was a long a tiring day (8 AM to 12 AM)... I was beat. After I got out of the shower, I went online to check out what I had missed at Jaloponik.com. And to my surprise, something changed!! It was the advert that showed the STI. It no longer said, "coming soon", it said, "come in and check it out."

So, I jumped on over to sogperformance.com to see if they had any in stock. To my surprise, they had four!! I said something like this to my gf, "hey, check out this. They are finally stocking STIs."

She said that I had better not get one. I told her to go to bed and not to worry about it.

I woke up late on Saturday. I could not believe I woke up so late. It was already noon. So, I jumped in the shower, got ready for work and told my gf that I was off. She asked why I was leaving so early. I simply replied, I need to do something first.

I got to the dealer and there it was. I walked inside the dealership and checked out the one they had inside. Took me forever to find the hood release...

I was in a hurry because I had to get to work by 3 and it was already 12:40. To top things off, my job is on the other side of town (about 45 minutes away). I noticed an Asian guy talking to one of the people working inside. I am guessing he was in his late teens or early 20s. The lady was telling him that they could not do something because of his age.

I am guessing he wanted to "test drive"...

Finally a sales guy named, Gary came up to me. I said that I wanted to test out the STI. He said that they do not do that. I said, I am in a hurry and need to be at work by 3. He said he can get me in and out of there by that time. I said it is good that they do not give out test drives.

So, to not waste time, I pointed out towards the STI in front and said, "I'll take that one."

I got it for MSRP. I put money down and got a 60 month loan for the remaining balance at 4.99%.

I decided to leave my minivan in their lot and pick it up on Monday because the lot is closed on Sunday. As I was driving to work, I realized that I had to go to the airport and pick someone up. So I was thinking... damn. I called my gf up asked her if she could pick up my minivan.

She asked what I did. I said, I am at work and cannot talk right now, but if she wanted to use my minivan to pick up her boss at the airport, then she should go to get it.

When I got home, I showed it to her and explained it like I started this thread. She said, "Well, if you put it that way..."

So, I do not think I could get away with taking both those home...

The key word I keep seeing here is girlfriend. Make sure you don't let her have too much control before she's even your fiancé or wife. Not only would she be wearing the pants, but even worse, she'll have the checkbook AND your balls in her purse!

WAPCE.
