Thanks for the compliments. And thanks for the move to the proper forum. Now...how in the heck do I keep it below 4K rpm for the next 800 miles. First 200 miles were tough enough.

I'm familiar with this type of site and forum, so I'll be sure to scan/search prior posts before asking any typical newbie questions.

Observations so far (Keeping in mind that I'm 6' and 210):

Seats are excellent. View all around is very good. Sound system (I have the basic STi pkg) is decent. Fit/finish very good. Driver area has excellent room for someone my size. I've sat in the back, too, and there's a surprising amount of head room. Leg room is tight in the back unless front seats are moved up.

Fav gismo to date: the knob with the S# setting. I call it the fun button.

I will no doubt waste too much otherwise valuable time at iwsti.com.

Later,

Kurt

Welcome aboard.

I just turned 600 miles on my DGM 08.

Be on the lookout for something to use as a stone guard for the intercooler. It needs it badly. Something in the scoop would be great but even a TMIC mounted guard would be welcome.

Thanks, 555. I'm very pleased with the car. I've racked up about 3K miles so far. I've decided that the red is just a tad darker than most other manufacturers' red.

Now need to re-flash and pipe it.

No issues with rocks. Have a knick in the hood from a rock thrown up by a car on the hwy. And a couple of (I hate to admit this) self-inflicted knicks in the door. Not sure if any of these would have happened with another paint job. But, no rock chips as posted in THE paint thread.

Ahhh... Red is the best color for the 08 in my opinion

But, well... uh... I´m not biased towards red in any way!
