Default Constant Speed's 2008 SSM STI

Picked up my 2008 SSM STI on February 11. I have 370 miles on the car to date. Put Goodyear F1 All Seasons on the stock rims to get me through the winter. I also installed seat heaters. You can see where the seat heater control was installed in the interior photo. The Cobb DP and Accessport are on order.

I now have 875 miles on the car and am really enjoying it. I have owned several BMW's - the latest being a 330xi sedan. This car is my first Subaru and first turbocharged car.

Exterior Impressions:
I like the looks of the car even better in person. Several others who have seen it have commented that they like the looks too.
I have been driving in snow, sleet, rain and freezing rain for much of the past 10 days and the car does throw a lot crap from the wheels. I have not seen any paint issues but the rear fender flares are covered whenever there is snow or slush.
I have not had a hatchback before and, in inclement weather, the rear window gets covered with water, snow, etc.

Interior Impressions:
I have found the seats comfortable, maybe not as supportive as BMW sports seats, but fine so far.
The various controls are easy to use though the iPod interface seems like I have to hit buttons twice before they respond. Being able to control the iPod through the stereo is pretty cool.
I put in aftermarket heated seats and am glad I did given the weather here in Ohio over the last week or so.
So far, no creaks, squeaks or rattles. It feels solidly built.

Driving Impressions:
As I have put more miles on it, I have started to get on it more and more. In S# mode, it really moves once the turbo kicks in. I have not had a chance to push it in on a curvy road but I can't wait to do it.
The ride is comfortable - I drive about 35 miles to work each way - though it is louder than the 330xi.
It has handled rain, snow and sleet with confidence and the Goodyear FI All Seasons I installed have done great.
During a snow storm last night, I got a chance to play in a large parking lot. It was blast sliding and drifting through the snow - my daughter really enjoyed doing donuts and my son thought crabbing sideways up the hill to our house was better than any video game.

Overall, I am very pleased so far. I wanted an all-wheel drive daily driver that would inject a bit of fun and passion into my daily drive. The 2008 STI has delivered so far. I am looking forward to passing 1000 miles and driving it harder.
