It will be here on thursday, right on time for the knight stadium series autocross. Good job Waktasz!!! you can see how much the front tires have ti put up with without a front bar. Get the bar on, and you be a lot faster in the transitions

I also got my home-brew exhaust made, it cost me 200 bucks, but I love it. The car sounds wicked and it looks great from the back. I went with a three inch catback setup without the muffler, and it splits via a custom made y pipe to a quad tip. I replaced the resonator with a 3inch glass pack type of muffler. It may be too loud for some, but I like it. The car feels like it is breathing a lot better on the top end.
Nice! What part # was the Perrin sway you got? I'm still trying to figure out who is telling me the truth, but according to my emails with Perrin their STI bar (part SUS-121) isn't out yet. All the places selling STI bars (including Perrin's own website) list the SUS-101 as the STI, WRX and Legacy bar, which can't be right.

I didn't ask what the part number was, but I was assured that it was for the 08 sti from both Perrin and Harman, so I went ahead and placed the order. I would call Harman up and speak with Brett, he seems to be very knowlegeable about it. Either way, we'll find out for sure on thursday when I receive and fit it with my whiteline endlinks.

This is where I need you guys help. I can't seem to find wheels 18x9.5 wide or wider with the proper offset.

I found a set of enkei rfp01 that is 18x9.5 with an offset of 45mm.

Not sure if that will clear fenders with a 285/30/18 v710.

Any suggestion for wheels?? Thanks guys!

GREAT Autocrossing pics BTW.

those RPF1s in 18x9.5 do no clear brembos. Unless they are some new special size.

shoot me a PM and I can direct you to some 9.5s that clear brembos.

You got 4? hahahah you're lucky son of a gun. It took me two events to cord the fronts without the front sway.

I did notice that with the installation of the perrin 25 mm which fits like ****, I was able to run 39 - 42 psi without rolling the edge that's a jump down from 60 psi that I was running without the front sways. I also discovered another issue with running bigger front sways on the 08, and that is it now causes the inside wheels to lift when you're running the dccd on manual full rear. I was going into a turn, and the grip was phenomenal, I was able to get back on the power early, actually full throttle, and it happened, on second gear I was banging off the rev limiter, and the car was not moving. However, on the dccd on auto - (minus) I didn't experience the same results, I got on the gas, again early, and I was flying through that same section without any inside wheel spin. hmmm remember that I said the car was in dire need of a bigger front bar?

The results spoke for themselves check out the bottom of the page, I was able to get TTOD driving conservatively due to me being afraid of breaking my stock endlinks (they ended up broken anyway this weekend UGH).

Final Results - CCR Kights Folger AX #2 - 2008-05-08

PAX Pax Time Results - CCR Kights Folger AX #2 - 2008-05-08

The two drivers up top in pax are noth National champs and evolution schools instructors

And the raw times:

Final Raw Time Results - CCR Kights Folger AX #2 - 2008-05-08

My advice, get the biggest front sway bar that you can get on the car, and your hoosiers will last you a lot longer. I ordered a set of 315 30 18 hoosiers to increase the profile, and to also replace my corded 10 runs ones.

4 events with a co-driver ! I'd shoot myself if I only got 2 out of each set of fronts. Someone needs to start producing a big front bar FAST.

edit: oh wait a minute...315s??!

ah, and we know that you guys get at least 6 runs per driver. Here in NC, if we get 5 runs, we would jump for joy. I had a co driver as well, and it equalled to a total of 8 runs per events.
