The combination of AVCS INTAKE CAM tuning and AVCS EXHAUST CAM tuning gave us the ability to run very little timing and a AFR of 10.5 and still pull of such a nice gain. I could squeeze another 20whp but for a reliable, safe, fun STAGE 1. I feel that was a good enough gain. The car is very responsive and with the extended gearing makes the car an animal. More testing to come.

J.,

Good question. It is hard to say. The power should be pretty similiar. The timing on the S1 map is very low not to mention AFR's still in the 10's. The majority of the attention was given to the AVCS Intake and Exhaust maps. I would say you would be close if not, probably 10whp away. But again hard to judge without having a side-by-side comparison.

Having a frame around the windows is a good thing. Reduces wind noise considerably. Good move on Subaru's part.

Default AMR "BIG MAF" Cold Air Intake System!

We are back on schedule. New product line in development.

Here is our AMR "BIG MAF" Cold Air Intake System:

Note:

This intake system will need to be tuning and the ECU will need to be calibrated.

Color:

Shown in picture is brushed aluminum with blue couplers. We will probably be selling this intake system in 3-4 different colors.

HP:

With properly scaling the mass air flow sensor we have seen an increase of 10whp / 10wtq over the factory air box. This was using the same AFR, BOOST, and TIMING.

Next up:

Exhaust Products and MORE!!!!

Did you follow any break-in procedure? I'm curious to see what different tuners attempt with new cars considering how widely debated the issue has become.

Personally, I subscribe to an aggressive break-in for the first fifty miles.

Default STOCK vs AMR S1 vs AMR S1 + AMR BIG MAF

Information:

You can clearly see the improvement the intake had throughout the entire RPM band. Timing, AFR, BOOST, and CAMS were left untouched from our S1 MAP. The only thing that was done was the scaling of the MAF Sensor due to the AMR BMI System (Big Maf Intake) being 74mm. On a side note, I am going to see if I can find some time to get some in car videos. The intake system sounds great when driving. You can really hear the turbo spool from inside the vehicle. Got to love stock snails! Not to shabby for a fully stock exhaust!

Here is the dyno plot: STOCK vs AMR S1 vs AMR S1 + AMR BIG MAF

Up Next:

We are planning on attacking the exhaust system. I have some new ideas. STAY TUNED!
