Sounds good. When are you going to get retuned with the boost control unit and catless downpipe?

hey los.

you consider running a front strut bar? if you would, what would you go for?

im currently considering the sti titanium one, but it just seems like more "bling" than "bang for the buck" in comparison to the other strut bars. the cusco FULL titanium is like 70 bucks cheaper. a new steel one is 1/3 the price at 150 bucks. anything special about the sti titanium or are they just making money?

thanks,
-alex

Hey Alex, the front strut bar is like the last thing I will do suspension wise. To me its like the last mod to tie it all together.. You know.. But yeah the titanium is just bling bro. Like I just got a rear one and I am going with the cusco reg which is what I will go for the front, although I have to see what fits with the crawford Air/Oil Sep only downfall is you cant run a strut bar with it so you have to just pick the right one..

But since you bring it up, I have to get some more stiffen mods.. I can feel the flex with the new power and my suspension mods.. I am thinking these what ya think:

TIC Fender Braces
Cusco Rear Strut Bar
GT SPec H Brace
And the welded Autopower cage should give some stiffening aswell

will definately help. The h-brace alone is a nice front end improvement. Add in the TiC fender braces and should be no more front end twisting. That autopower weld in roll cage will take care of the back end nicely. Might want to look at TiC's outrigger bushings too. Will help keep the rear diff from flexing(twisting back) under load. Maybe the Cusco/GTspec rear T braces too. Otherwise, you got it covered man.
The other guys post with the HKS controller looks damn good in the ashtray flip cover, huh? Hmmm...

Carlos,

get the X-brace, its totally worth it. Since you have the SpecC tank, you'll need some custom bracket though, someone from IWSTI make it work.

If I didnt get this already I would have went with soemthing else like the Element tuning etc.. Dont get me wrong its a nice catch can, but I had some trouble on install and called them for some tech help they told me bascially go F yourself.. They said to stop calling its race week and maybe a tech would get back to me cause they said the catch can is simple to install and they dont think they need to waste tech time on it.. I sh*t you not that is what they said the guy I spoke to his name is RYAN he said it would be a 50/50 shot if the tech guy would call me back, he siad if the guy takes a snack break from building a race car and feels like calling you back then you will hear from him.... Awesome service after you pay $350 for a catch can.. Basically if you dont have a million dollar race team they dont want to waste time with you.. First and Last Crawford Product that goes on my car you feel me..

Screw that! I will never buy anything from Crawford, because of that. I was planning on buying a couple of there parts too! Im sick of freaking people in the auto industry give people a hard time. Im sick of these jmokes. Im dealing with some punk kid that ripped me off on some bunk headers. He wont freakin refund me if i send them back to him. The dont even function they are worthless and he said they were "repaired"! Im just going to take him to court. Integrity, Honesty, Excellence are rarely found. Im glad your a Cop, you can get people like the guy im dealing with. Justice is great.

Had a X-Brace lol sold it to fund my DOM 3 project...Yeah Chris made it work with the spec c tank. Once I have my cage welded in and a rear strut it will be plenty stiff back there.

UPDATE...... Well ordered some more parts... Need to stiffen the chassis a bit she is really flexin with the new power and the suspension so tight I can feel it when I am really on her around the tight turns and roads around where I live.. Also just getting into my driveway which is a bit off camber you hear the car just creaking... So i took my boys advice... Eric AKA Neverendingmods.. And just ordered the following

GT SPEC Rear Strut Bar
GT SPEC DIFF Mount
TIC Fender Braces
TIC OutRigger Bushings
CUSCO H - Brace

The front end should be good and the rear should also maybe i will just add the GTSPEC T braces , plus still need to get the Autopower Cage welded in when I get it and that should also stiffen things up... After this my suspension should be right where I want it to be.. I just love the RCE Blacks and the HANKOOK RS2's have been awesome....

Still need to get the boost controller on and the DP and get re-tuned so no news yet on the gains.. But I will post the diff soon..

Nice. You'll love the feel of the diff mount and outrigger bushings. I did all the TiC diff bushings a couple months after getting the car. Big improvement, the shifts feel so much nicer

Thanks bro.. Yeah the car feels awesome and the throttle response is just amazing.. I was thinking of getting a FMIC this winter but I amy just say screw it I really love the TMIC setup and the power under my foot the whole time. I should see about 450/460 when I add the Catless DP and the HKS controller and up the boost to 25 psi thats on the same DYNOJET I got tuned at, but thats just numbers anyway I could careless as long as the car runs great thats my main concern.. I have to get to the track and see what she does.. I am just coming off left ankle surgery and I have been out of work for 4 months so its been tuff to get to the track..

Hows your car coming along dude???

Ok cool, hey which outrigger bushings did you do race or comfy? Yeah I think with the bushings and the diff mounts my shifts will feel nice, I think once I add the T braces I will be good to go..
