Very nice build, I like it that you stayed with top mount. Do you have any idea how your spool and power would be without meth? I see what you mean about tight, how in the world do you check your trans fluid?

Thanks bro.. I think the spool would be the same if I ran a AVCR Controller and my tuner could play with it. He tunes great and on his 07 he runs a DOM 3 also with a FMIC and a HKS EVC and he got his to spool just as quick he was at 3850rpm I believe.. Power wise I think the meth helped for sure but I ran it mostly for cooling affects that is why I ran it. I am only running 50/50 if I went to 75/25 mix been able to up the boost to 25-26psi I would have seen a good amount more of power... Trust me this is plenty for now, its so much fun.. The throttle response is awesome, I have boost under my foot throughout the whole power band, I mean it doesn't really die down till redline and I am still at 19.5 psi which aint bad at all. I do wish I went with a AVCR controller to let him really play with it I think my spool could have been faster maybe like 3500 rpm

The tight isssue its not bad at all I mean I am running a DOM 3 with a pretty big APS TMIC.. I can get to the dip stick no prob it just looks really tight in the pic.. The only real tight area is by the coldside where the coolant line is and the corner of the I/C..

Thanks for all the kind words and help guys, I really apreciate it.. I thought I was gonna either strike out with the TMIC or it was gonna be great.. Its great the spool up and having the boost under my foot the whole time is awesome around the nice curvy roads where I live who would think such a big Turbo would spool like stock... DOM 3.0R FTW.... Cant go wrong a stock mount full ball bearing turbo

But like I said I think all the right mods helped to get the car to this point where everyhting just works together smoothly... I really like the GT SPec headers they really give ou some TQ, I just feel everything much more with the big turbo.. Cant wait to drive it again

Next mods.. The Wifey want to buy me some safety items for my B-day..

Gonna go with the Autopower Race Roll Bar, some Sparco Harnesses in Blue and maybe the rear seat delete with that beatrush aluminum trunk panel.. What you think.

I am also gonna add some stainless steel braided oil hose I have a bunch left over from my Chopper building days, I think that would really look nice if I replace all the rubber oil lines from the Crawford Air/oil Separator with the stainless lines... Bling.... you know

Great build and sweet numbers. I'm looking at getting an identical set-up except no meth and a FMIC.

I'll be following this journal to see how long your clutch lasts.

Oh, didn't notice you got a clutch. I'd love to go meth but it'll freeze in the crazy winters up here. Good luck and have fun with this set-up.

Any reason you didn't go EWG?

Didnt fit in my budget Plus the DOM 3.0R is pretty good at holding boost. I will be going to it once I get a non catted DP and a FMIC then I will go with a 44 mm tial. But right now its pretty good at 24psi only tapering to 20psi my tuner did a real good job..

Hey anything else you have to do cause you live in such cold weather? What mods are you doing or have done..

STI Los, what kind of driving do you do in this car? Do you autocross it? If so how does this setup run on a autocross track vs. your stage 2??

Thanks

Hey whats up, right now its my DD believe it or not. Just trying to get a beater I have been out of work for 4 months cause I had surgery and it was to my left ankle But this setup I did is for drag and some time attack stuff is what I would like to do. I can say that from STG 2 to this is just WOW... I mean all I can gauge it on is very spirited driving on the canyon style roads where I live and with the STG 2 it was great but I didn't have any where near the throttle response that I have now.

And before my boost would really fall on its face and I had trouble holding boost and I was tuned for 21psi and it made 316/355. Now my boost holds pretty much till redline and only tapers to 19.5-20psi I have boost under my foot the whole time its so much fun I mean I made 427/433 this time so it was a 111WHP gain its so much power really have to get used to driving it..

I will tell you this redline comes quicker then you can blink I have bounced it off the rev limiter a few time already just cause it comes so fast you almost can shift to second and your there. I think this Turbo with the TMIC the way I have it setup would be a beast at the AutoX cause there is no lag I am hitting full boost at 3800rpm and its under my foot the whole time.. Its great thats all I can say

Right now I'm at OTS STG2. I was planning on getting a tune, but if I go with this turbo it would be pointless and a waist of $$$. I hope this turbo can withstand the cold, there is a stretch in the winter where it gets down to -40F.

^ you would need a winter/low boost map to compensate for denser air. That's all. Don't be a wuss(joking man). -40F is when hell freezes over, right?

^^^ Exactly, you should be able to run any Turbo just have to get tuned for the condition your car see, and Meth isnt gonna freeze... I would look into that for sure..
