Default NaoNao's 2008 OBP STi.

I've been wanting a STi for awhile now. I really was only interested in the 06-07 body style, until yesterday. After saving up for awhile and finally being in the position to trade in my car, I decided it was the perfect time for a new vehicle.
I went to the dealership to check if they had any 07's left on the lot (I already knew my chances were slim to nothing). Looking the lot over I didn't see any 07's left, but to my surprise there were 2 brand spanking new 2008 WRX STi's for the taking. Long story short, out of the 2 they had I fell in love/drove off with the OBP non BBS over the AW BBS showroom counterpart.

Sitting on the lot at North Park Subaru. Purchased on 01.28.08.

Here are some quick photos I snapped before leaving for work.

45 miles on the first drive home.

I absolutely love the way the 08's look in black.

My first/previous car was a 2002 Acura RSX type S. Switching over to a AWD 4 door turbo is like a night and day difference even just driving it normal through the break in period.

So that's what torque feels like , eh?

Reserved.

I think I'll enjoy it in stock form for awhile as far as adding performance mods. Until then I'll throw on some tint, find a radar detector, and some gauges. I plan on using it as a DD with some spirited driving here and there. I may also track it a few times or maybe even auto-x it somewhere down the line when it has several thousand miles under the hood.

Off to work now, I'll post up more pics and info later.

Nice car and purchase! I hate north park... their service department has been bad for me. I also live in San Antonio. It seems you are one of the few with an 08 STi. Congrats... hit me a PM if you are interested in cruising with STi's and Evo's on thursdays

Oh I like it in black. As much as I like it in black, I´m always afraid of that color. I´m extra picky on small scratches, dings and rock chips. But they do look good when they´re shiny and clean.

Congrats

Thanks for all the replies!

I know for a fact I'm going to love putting miles on this car. I just can't wait until 1k pops up, so I can experience the real beast . At the same time I wish it would stay brand new forever.

The person(s) who does financing for them was apparently off the day I went. So they shuttled me over to there Mercury/Lincoln dealership to do all the financing paperwork with one of there financiers, it made the entire process unnecessarily long due to traveling back and forth between the dealerships. I too also cruise with a couple of Evo's, maybe we can meet up one day whenever my work schedule doesn't suckass so much.

Congrats
I feel the exact same way. It's bad enough that there's a whole bunch of construction going on around my neighborhood; with all the rock haulers and loose gravel.

Yes mom . <<< Haha don't take it serious dude, I know what's up.

Anyways, I'll be updating this thread on a regular basis whenever I get some new stuff in for the whip. Hopefully this upcoming weekend I can get some better quality photos in. Work > me.

Nice car, and I think those rims are way better than the BBS! Too bad you had to get it at the POS stealership! Do yourself a favor and don't ever take your car there for service!!! Send me a PM if you want details on the whole story but long one short, I took my car there for an oil change, got the car back, got 4 miles down the road when the motor seized! They ended up replacing the whole car, but not after first trying to rebuild me a motor then trying to just offer me trade in value to buy a new car from them. Spent about 2 month in a loaner while they jerked me around... Hey enjoy your new car though!
