LOL at the thread title! I started out with a $3k budget that,at this point,(since purchase of my '05 STi last September) has ballooned to about $13,000. And I still make payments-ack!
on suspension,I strongly suggest that you look at Tein's Flex system with EDFC. It ran me $2500 installed,& IMO it's some of the best $ I've spent, the Injen FMIC is at a close second. The Tein Flex is 32-way adjustable,f&r. The annoying stock springs roll is All Gone, and the car can now be lowered (slammed,if need be) in under an hour. It amazed me,& at softest setting (#32) the STi rides almost like a normal car,LOL!
Seibon's carbon fiber is A+,I highly reccommend it!
Great car,all the best with it!

When I get my "turbo kit" upgrade soon I was wondering if I should also replace the stock up-pipe. Any thoughts? I know its currently catless but I was thinking an after market one would be better. APS or Perrin maybe?
