IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | hello. hailing from atlanta georgia. i dont have an sti persay......well theres one under the hood, but its not anything USDM. the car itself was never turbocharged from the factory for the US shores either. so i hope you will welcome a noob sporting the classic body style impreza with some JDM STi goodness. time to whore. 56k and up. photo ids taken while you peek. -2001 2.5RS completely converted with a 1999 Ver6 STi Type RA. ![]() ![]() ![]() -as of march 07: ![]() crank bearings went to hell and took all the internals with em. so its time for new parts. thankfully there is TopSpeed to work their magic on the EJ207 and give it a track worthy rebuild/upgrade. before: at RoadAtlanta track day courtesy of AudiClub. ![]() after 3-4 30min sessions a day for 2 days the bearings looked like this- ![]() TopSpeed saved my GC! IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | thanks everyone for the comments. gametime36: power before bearings went poop- V6 STi RA engine for the most part was stock...except for the MonsterSport lightweight flywheel and Fujitsubo headers+up-pipe that came with the JDM half cut. i then added a Helix V3 catless DP and HKS Hi-Power catback and the best of all-the Apexi Power FC. at that point it was making around 300whp/280 wtq on stock boost pressure. a faulty spark plug was causing some erratic behaviors so the numbers arent 100% accurate and i didnt get a chance to dyno it after i put in new colder plugs. power after the full rebuild/upgrade- so once done the GC should be putting done a little bit more power and torque......hoping to cross over the 300 mark on both. mods: along with rebuilding the EJ207- JE pistons Carillo rods V8 STi crankshaft ACL race bearings APS STi side feed fuel rails/lines HKS EVC IV boost controller battery relocated to trunk bbong: heres a video of the RA track days i made. ignore the mph text as i found out the guys i was asking about how fast we were going, were guys from 2 groups above me. so they were much faster with higher top speeds than me. guessing it was closer to 140mph. my speedo deosnt read past 180kmph=112mph and the needle jumping on the stop peg. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jan 2008 Trader Rating: (0) | WRC~06~STi- yes doug tuned my car. doug is the only guy i will let tune my car. TopSpeed is the only place i will take my GC. the WRX wagon however goes to Classic Cady/Suby for regular work, but if i ever get it relashed it will be at TopSpeed. bbong-and more pics: in chronological order since purchase ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() thats it until the GC is out of the shop. enjoy.
