I agree, Japanese paint isn't what I'd call very durable. I had the clear bra professionally installed on my 07 STI Ltd at approx 25 miles....7500 miles and 15 months later it's still damn near pristine. I think I paid around $500ish for the clear bra and it's worth every penny. Covers front fascia, part of hood, and side mirrors.
