Default Tweeter's RSTi

Bought it awhile back in October just after it had been in an accident with a mailbox and curb. After inspection that there was no frame damage it was only cosmetic, we replaced the whole front end with a JDM clip. Since the hood was damaged it's getting painted this month so please excuse it haha. Once that was done the wire splicing and engine/tranny swapping began...

Before repairs:

Donor engine ('06 USDM STi)

Donor tranny ('04 WRX)

Like my seats?

After the swap:

Ta-da!

Near future goodies are:

A white hood
Up/Downpipe
Injen Cold Air Intake
Methanol Injection
Stage 2 ECU Reflash

What happen to the STI 6 speed and rear-end? You didn't use those?

Nope. The 6 speed from the STi was used for a different car and I actually CHOSE the 5 speed because of the longer gear ratios. By the time a 6 speed is shifting into 3rd I'm only 2/3 of the way through 2nd gear

yeah yeah...heard it all before. It's a lot stronger than most people think compared to the bullet-proof 6 speed. But I actually know how to drive so it won't be an issue. I've seen plenty of RS's with stock trannys and STi swaps that do just fine.

Very nice, Tweeter- that car must rock!
I soooOOOoOOOoo want to build an RSTi of my own... Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my STi, but it is very very heavy.

I didn't think I'd have this many replies haha.

I used to work at Garage Tuning so I had access to the shop and tools at any hours of virtually any day. It took about a month only because we had to drill out the old spot welds, re-weld the JDM clip and paint the engine bay. Also, a new clutch was added and the tranny had to be built as well. It really didn't take very long, the worst part for me was the wiring to be honest. And I owe a big thanks to Kevin and Brian down at Garage Tuning for my car. Without them it wouldn't have been possible.

And yes, it rips I can't wait once it's cleared for CA smog laws to get the downpipe, intake, and reflash the ecu.
