| Silver Member | The install went perfect. It was kinda wierd getting stuff put on and not just doing it myself. But It was way easier. Anyway, thanks to the guys at Rush for doing a great job. Car drives great, better than new. I haven't put a lot of time in driving it yet, but so far so good. Very happy with the ride of the prodrives. I kind of wish they were a tad lower, but they are supposed to settle in a bit. I also went out and snapped a few pics for the journal. Here ya go:Nice side shot showing the gaps: ![]() Front gap: ![]() Under shot: ![]() Whorin' it out: This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |

| Silver Member | So what do you guys think, should I get a new stereo, or some gauges next? I am having a hard time deciding. I have nice system on crutchfield, or a set of 3 gauges with a pod from maddad. Both are just over $500. I want to get just one for now. I know the gauges are prolly better, but I would enjoy the stereo more. Man if anyone has an opinion, let me here it, because I can't decide.... |

| Silver Member | OK so my gauges arrived yesterday, courtesy of Oakos Automotive's fast shipping. I will get pics up later, but here is what I got: Autometer 2 1/16" dual instrument cluster bezel (PN 20015) Autometer 30 PSI boost gauge (PN 2614) Autometer electric oil pressure gauge (PN 2634) Stuff I needed and purchased locally: 1/4 Brass "T" fitting (supplied one was too small) 20' 14 gauge wire 1/4" hose so I didn't have to cut the factory hose. The whole deal cost me about $220 including shipping. ![]() So far I have the boost gauge hooked up, the bezel is installed with both gauges, and all wiring is run. It looks really good. I am happy I went with this pod. very stealth and OEM looking. The gauges are on the cheap side, but I can always upgrade later. I still need to install the sending unit for the OP and hook it up, and connect the lighting. I ran out of daylight, and I hate working in the dark. So as long as there are no issues, I will finish up tommorrow. Edit: I finally finished this install last week (around September 30th) I am going to add pics to this post. One major change, I wasn't able to run the Oil Pressure gauge. The sending unit didn't fit, so I just picked up a Voltmeter instead. It's really a "filler" gauge anyway. The one that matters is the boost gauge. The autometer Boost gauge is PERFECT. I may make changes to this setup later, but for now it works. I don't know how I went so long without a boost gauge. It really should be the first or maybe second mod. | Silver Member | OK I am bummed. Got my X-brace. Well, the instructions say to get it professionally installed, and they aren't lying. I got it almost all the way in, and somehow I ****ed up the threads. Didn't have a big enough tap and die set to fix it. So I think the brace is ruined. And to top it off, I was putting the seat back in, and put a huge ****ing scratch in the door jamb. So yeah I wasted like 4 hours, ruined the $400 Xbrace, and put a major ****ing scratch in my paint. I am so ****ing pissed right now. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() <<<< all apply right now. |

| Amateur STI Driver | sorry to hear that, bust out the phone book and call some local machine shops, they should be able to do the repair on the cheap and save your brace no problem |
