It has been a week and mine has not changed height at all. I do not think it is going to settle. Just wiggle the car around some after you install the coilovers, but before you set the ride height and I think you'll be fine.

I guess i forgot the review part huh

I am absolutely amazed with the ride quality. Mr. bobblehead is gone, my back feels much better, the car stays completely flat & feels like it's on rails. I drive 100+ miles per day through the pothole ridden streets & highways of Los Angeles. I know Steve @ Zzyzx kept assuring me that these coils would be smoother than the stock suspension, even with 10k/7k spring rates, but seriously, I feel like I've been driving down freshly paved roads over the last couple of days.

On the highway, the car settles incredibly quick. The stock suspension seemed to bounce, and bounce, and bounce causing bobblehead and instability on the highway and the car would never really settle. I have driven over plenty of potholes, speed bumps, driveways, etc in the past few days. These coilovers handle and absorb bumps soo well in these situations, and are firm and stable at the same time.

I drive more miles per day than probably 80% of all STI owners. I can positively recommend these coilovers for anyone looking for an autox/track setup but still want the comfort for daily driving. Obviously spring rate choice plays a factor. I guess my point here is, not only are the EM Sport's considered to be a very competitive autox/track coilover, they outdo any STI I've ever sat in in the comfort department. They are in every way, at every speed, a zillion times more comfortable than the stock suspension.

With the stock suspension, my car would buck me around and throw me when I pushed it. It seemed to always fight back and was extremely unpredictable. I never knew if it was going to grab or just push through a turn at speed. I feel incredibly confident with my car now. It is very very predictable. From what I can tell so far, there is absolutely no understear or overstear, it feels very neutral. I have taken some pretty bumpy tight corners and gave the car some throttle. It basically laughed at me, and when I came out of the turn completely relaxed, level, straight, in control and fast, I laughed myself. If this thing handles this well on bumpy city streets I can't imagine what it's going to do on a track.

Bishop, do yourself a favor and email Steve@zzyzxmotorsports.com, or call him. I have learned soo much from this guy. Even if you plan on waiting a while to get these coilovers, there's no reason not to start learning now. If you do decide to call Steve, write down a list before hand of all the questions you have or things you would like to learn. At least email him some questions to get started that way you can begin compiling info. T3h_Clap is also a great guy and has helped me out tremendously in the wheel & tire department.

I've been told I like to point people in the right direction for Suspension goodies as well

I'm also a huge advocate of ZZYZX Products.

Default Re: JD's 07 STI: Where to buy 5Zigen FN01RC 17x10 Wheels?

So after being blown away with how well these coilovers perform, I feel obligated to autocross the car, finally. I'm planning on running it in the STU class. This means two things need to happen:

1) Swap the GTspec stuff back to stock I'll save it for the track.

2) Find a set of 5Zigen FN01RC 17x10 Wheels and throw some RE010R 245/40/17's on them.

If you know where to buy a set of new or used 5Zigen FN01RC 17x10 Wheels please let me know

you could do 17x9.5 as well and not give up too much.

one guy in your region is running 17x10 front and 17x9 rear.

Can you give me a rundown on the pro's & con's, or comparison if you will, of running 17x9.5 vs. 17x10.

For STU with a 245/40/17 tire?

assuming the same tire on both wheels?

I'll put something together.
