IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2004 Trader Rating: (3) | Somewhere in my readings I found that the top center of the backseat sometimes causes the rattling sound to occur. If you open the pass-through and put your fingers up behind the fabric at the top of the pass through opening, you can feel/ see a metal u shape that the seat holds onto. I shoved a small piece of wood in there before I sprayed my window with wd-40 just to make sure it wasn't that. I recommend wedging something in there to see if that stops the rattle. Good luck! |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Good news! My rattle is gone!!! I guess third time was the charm. Before taking it to the dealer, I decided to give WD-40 another shot. This time, I stuck the straw deep inside the rubber weatherstripping and gave it another good run. After that, I took it out for a test drive and the rattle got softer and softer until it disappeared. Right now, I can still hear it sometimes when I'm making a hard right but that doesn't bother me at all. I haven't been this happy with my car ever since I went Stage 1 . Thanks fast08 and everyone who contributed to this thread! |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | Congrats man, I remember how happy I was the day I got rid of the rattle lol.. So I guess we need to remind people to stick it deep and spray it hard with the WD-40 trick? |

for those of your what latch issues, take a section of electrical tape and wrap it around the "U" shaped thingy that the latch connects to, it will stop the latch from vibrating and rattling, it wears out after a few months but its cheap and easy to redo once it does. It worked on my wrx wagon hatch latch and my door latches as well. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. | |
