IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2007 Trader Rating: (2) | hey Fast.. ok, I see the little rubber strip that goes left to right at the very top of the glass. Now, which side do you lift and spray under? The top side, or the bottom side of the strip? |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2007 Trader Rating: (0) | It's the side that touches the body work. Create a gap between the strip and the roof using the end of a zip tie or a thin plastic card and spray along the edge while moving the zip tie. Hope that's clear, or else I can take a picture. |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2004 Trader Rating: (3) | Well, I am pretty confident the rear windshield rattle in my car has been fixed. I sprayed WD-40 along the top edge of the outside of the rear windshield and haven't heard anything since. I just got back from a long drive up to Mohegan Sun, CT and didn't have any rattling at all. I highly recommend trying this if you have that stinkin' rattlin'. Great job Fast08 on finding this fix! |

IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2004 Trader Rating: (3) | If it is that loud solitary "crack" sound the windshield makes when you make a right or left turn from a flat surface onto a steeply inclined surface, I don't think you can fix that. It is the windshirld flexing. If it is a rattle, then it probably is fixable. Good luck! |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2007 Trader Rating: (2) | FYI guys, the WD40 down into to top seal of the rear windshield did the trick for the mystery rattle at the rear of my car. couple weeks now, couple of car washes, still no rattle. Thank GOD we found it! Thanks Fast08 for finding that one!! -HC |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2004 Trader Rating: (14) | The lower section of the steering column cover makes a rattling/cracking noise. If you stuff some foam or something in there to prevent it from moving when you go over bumps it will fix it. |
