It will look nice till something scratches some of the new paint off and you'll have to repaint it again. Sorry, I have been there before with another car. The only way I was able to keep the interior paint on there was to clear coat it 2 or 3 times to create some sort of hard surface to resist scratches.

I did it but honestly it didnt look right until i got black dials and replaced the stereo. If you keeping that head unit and dials why bother? Not trying to flame I rolled like that for about 3 months but it really wasnt right until it all matched.

I used SEM Medium Smoke bumper coater. Its pretty much a perfect match.

A friend of mine did it too. Same thing. I dont have any pics of my car, but I got pics of his if you would like to see.

I love the way it looks, but im goin with this soon...

Well if it was already scratching then I agree it needed to be repainted. I just hate doing things that later down the road need to be redone, so good luck with the paint. I did my headlight blackout painting and apperently I used the wrong paint because its starting to bubble on the driver side. I'm so pissed off because I don't want to do it again because its a pain the ass, but I'll do it one day when I have some vacation time.
