I removed it when I sent it to get wrapped in alcantara by 10th Steet JDM.
When it was gone, i noticed an easier time shifting as it wasnt there to block my elbow like normal. When I got it back, it was annoying for about a week, then I got used to it again and shifting returned to normal. I've raced on a circuit track with it and it never bothered me there. Plus, with the new 10thSt. padding and alcantara, its very comfortable

Car came with it. I'm 5'11", hit my elbow sometime shifting into 4th, but I use both storage areas for phone, glasses, tools, etc. Love it.

Got it in my WRX, it's ok, do like it, just noticed it kinda loosens easily. Love the extra storage space! Will probably move it to my STi b4 I sell the WRX.

1. NO!
2. NO!!
3. NO!!!

My car had it when I bought it, I absolutly hated it with a passion. I'm 6 ft, its like I would have to hold the stick at a wierd angle to shift or else I would hit the console with my elbow.

The screws stripped within a few thousand miles because of the EXTRA weight. I took that turd off and gave it away to my friend witha WRX, and he took it off within a week also! lol.
