Did you ever find the paint code?

if you're referring to a paint that will match the darker dash material, I used SEM Medium Smoke #39163 Bumper Coater. You can find it at just about any local auto paint supply shop for around $13 per can. If you're asking about the silver trim pieces... I have no idea.

Thanks JPW, but 'm looking for the silver pieces. No I'm not interested in the flat black look. To be polite...the DIY flat black look is um...unfinished.

I have been looking for a paint that matches the silver trim pieces for a while now and haven't found anything from SEM or duplicolor that even comes close. I think I am just going to get it color matched at the paint store and spray it that way.

I used Dupli-Color Auto Spray Charcoal Gray Metallic and the colors are in 99% the same, I found it at my local Autozone store.

I used that as well, but it is not a match. It is not a semi gloss and the base color is darker than the original.

Here is a pic of it painted and installed. Click it for a bigger pic.

You can see how it is a bit off.

Ahhhh... not perfect either. I have a scratch on the stereo surround too, so I want to repaint it all. I just don't like the finish of that paint. Too dull, but if I clear coat it, it will be way to glossy. Rock and a hard place.

I am going to see if the local paint supply shop can order me a can with the color match to the original.

Any luck on the local paintshop? If so, do you want to mail me the duplicolor? I'll pay shipping of course.
