| Junior STI Driver Car: 2007 STi Limited 437 Fav Mod: The wife makes the payment!!! Location: Cincinnati, Ohio...45230 Posts: 90
IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | I would love to lower my drivers side seat as well since our STi limited has a sunroof the headroom is not as good as the regular STi. What I dont understand is the seats sat lower in our old 02 WRX. None of this matters to my wife that drives the car most of the time since she is 4 foot eleven.... but I need a tad bit more room. I noticed that the under seat sub is on the drivers side now instead of the passenger side like our old WRX im wondering if that has something to do with it. This ad is not endorsed by this member. IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | I installed the SPARCO harness bar in my car since I bought it and my seat has not been adjusted since. That is about 2 years. I sat in my buddies aftermarket seats and what a difference it is when they are lower. Going back to my STi I felt like I was driving a truck. Anyhow, I thought about removing the entire assembly of the stock seat and just bolting down on some sort of spacer. This would be a straight bolt to the chassis and any adjustment would be gone. However I would still have to make some sort of bracket and I don't have a welder and stuff. I can't wait to sit lower but it looks like aftermarket seats are the easiest way to go. |
