Default Bass Rattling Rear View Mirror

Now that i have my audio system installed i cant help but notice that the rear view mirror rattles and is driving me insane. I cant have any rattles at all!! Just wondering if anyone knows a way to stop it without ripping it out. (i was gonna rip it open and dynamat it, but scared to do so).

I just flip mine up and forget about it...15" subs rattle everything when I crank up the music.

I tried to get three different compass mirrors to work from subaru, they ended up just giving me a stock rear view mirror after my last trip as a "gift". One of my friends is a service writer at a local dealer and he put one in the trunk for me. Didn't even notice it until I head something flying around my trunk on the way home. I even tried to take the compass mirror apart and fill it with dynamat to help it stay together, but had no luck. I no longer have the compass, but not having it rattle is definately worth it to me.

Oh boy, you bought the wrong car then.

Best option is to keep cranking up the stereo until you can't hear the rattles, or get a RFL exhaust.

My rear view mirror did it constantly in the winter, it still does occasionally these days, but its more sensitive to the engine revving and etc than the sound system (mines all stock).

I think this is a common problem... you would never believe such a rattling noise could be emitted from that darn mirror! It happens to me on a stock speaker system as well.
