Default head unit problems

2 questions. Does anyone have a problem reading their stock head unit display when there is glare? I can't even see mine at all. Is there someone I can buy to hook my ipod directily up to the stock head unit to play my songs? Thanks in advance.

Check your manual, I think if you push the volume button and hold it down for few seconds, the head unit display brightens...resets when you turn car off.

Yes there is something u can buy to make your head unit work through the CD changer plug. I install these all the time at work and honestly I can say its hit or miss. The majority do not work right. Your best bet is to buy an Ipod I-Trip. They use an unused radio frequency I.E. 87.9 and it trasmits the audio from your Ipod to your factory radio. These work great for the price I believe they are like $50 compared to $150 you would spend to get it to work with your CD changer. Go with the I-Trip. The sounds qualitry is pretty good as long as you dont get interference with another radio station. Your local Circuit City will have the I-Trip. If you have anymore questions just ask me. -Mike

^^^ besides what east was talking about (i have never heard of that cd player thing before) you can't hook your ipod directly up to the head unit.
