Default STi shiftknob reverse

can everyone go check there shiftknobs the reverse part where u pull up has it left a circle on ur reverse lever cuz it hits the knob everytime u try to put it in reverse?

I dont really understand what your saying but when i pull the lever to put my baby in revers it slips right in.

Excuse me sir I speak Bunghollio. (Airplane! reference)

I think he's asking if there's a circular indentation/rub mark on the top of the reverse lockout "lever" because it contacts the bottom of our shift knobs everytime you put the car in reverse.

Yes, my '04 does have a "rub mark". Nothing to worry about. Atleast the shifter boot doesnt fall down like on hondas

I used to have an EJ honda and it had that problem. I fixed it by taking the whole darn thing apart...getting rid of that cracking rubber ring holding the boot up and replacing it with one of those rubber bands that hold together produce. It worked like a champ.

Yep there's a mark on the top of my lockout lever from contacting the shift knob.
