Ok, I searched nasioc and here for an install, but I'm just left confused. I got the Fuel Pressure D-gauge from defi, it looks nice, but I am not sure on how to install it. From what I have read on the forums, it seems like I need to tap into a fuel line. But all I have is an eletrical plug. I know there is the electrical and mechanical type of gauges, I'm sure mine's elec........obviously, but where do I find where to plug it into? Any detailed instructions anywhere? Can someone please help. I'm also confused on how to find the illumination, ignition, and power wires all separately. Sorry, I feel like an idiot, but I have to figure this out and I know here is a great place to do it.

Thanks,

RC

ok, wow, sorry about this. My girlfriend was the one who opened the package for me and just set aside the other part that came with the gauge. it is the male connector and sender that I was missing. I am still lost and confused on where I need to tap this in though. Please just help me out with some instructions or something guys.

Thanks again,

RC

Default Hey All... Remember me?

It looks like you just have the sender which is fine. (Since this is a Japanese product the threads may not match up with some home depot brass fitting products just a warning). Go to Home Depot and make yourself a "T" fitting...take the sender with you. You want to get a female "T" that will let your fuel sender screw into the "T". Now that you have 2 open sides of the female "T" get your self 2 hose barbs that will fit the fuel line on your car. I think its 1/4 but please make sure; I can’t remember the exact size. Now if you cant find a female T that screws into the fuel sender you have to find an adapter just play around with all the fittings your should find one. Good Luck

No problem just be care when cutting the fuel line. Take it off, of course and measure it. The whole point is to cut the slack out of the hose so it was as straight as it was before the fuel gauge install. You know please tell me your readings after you get the gauge install. Im curious to how they compair to mine.

Thanks,

Andy

I got the fuel pressure gauge and boost gauge. I wanted to know what other peoples reading were from the pressure gauge because I do not know how to convert psi to kpa. So I wanted to know if the reading I am getting is right.

I went to home Depot and I could not find the exact setup. I was wondering if you had part numbers from home depot? I have been told this way is not safe wanted your opinion.

I dont have the part numbers. It took me 2 diffrent Home Depot to get the fittings I needed. I believe its:
(2) 1/4 hose barbs
(1) 1/4 Female "T"
(1) 1/4 to 1/8 adapter. This was only necessary for me since I have an autometer FPG.

I dont see why it would be unsafe. I have used this same set up on my RS for a total of 4 years. I have never had one leak or any trouble at all.

Thanks Actually I went to home depot and found the parts you described for future for others looking to do the same part numbers at home depot are
1)A-730 2)A-192(quantity 2) A-738
PB101 PB225 PB110
Female Pipe. Hose Barb 1/4x1/8 Male Pipe

Also this worked really well no leaks but I used Thread lock from an auto shop rather than Teflon tape. Was told the fuel may eat the teflon tape.

Not only the fuel will eat the Teflon tape, the real reason is that once that happens it can clog an injector.
