protection needed on the right side of gas padel.

Is there anything that can be purchase to put on-top of the carpet on the right side of the gas padel?

My Heel-Toe motion has started to wear out the carpet to a point that the carpet is about to come off..!

I noticed some people were able to get some kind of plastic plate to protect that area?

Any clues? or anyone know what's that call??

I don't know of anything specific... However, the carpet really LOVES the hook size of velcro. Should be easy to fab up someting of the right shape and velcro it in place. I've used the stuff from the WalMart crafts department (2in wide) to hold a CB radio to the carpet on the side of the transmission tunnel, and it doesn't go anywhere!
