Default replacement camera mount

Ok so I have one of Andrews camera mounts but I need to replace the piece that the camera mounts to. I can't send a message to Andrew due to problems with his inbox so can anyone give me an idea of what I can replace this with. I looked at the local camera store and all the ones they had were like $80.

Anyone have an idea? I don't know anything about cameras and tripods and stuff, so I don't know what would work and not cost me big$$$

i've personally never seen the part you're talking about sold separately but if you want, you can always get a bolt from Home Depot with the same specs as your camera mount. I'd get some rubber spacers or pads to keep it from sliding around though.

Is that all it needs? Hell, I've probably got a bolt in the garage that will work.

you need to make sure it is the correct thread type...they're not horribly common in most applications besides camera mounts so be careful.
