Default UPDATE: Buddy Club rail/base/slider combo

Does anyone have the Buddy Club seat rail/base/slider combo? I'm in the market for a new base and do not want some sh1tty bent and warped Sparco one like I had before. This looks like a pretty good quality, plus it would be much lower than most set-ups due to it being all together.

Should I get it?

Most of the seat rails I have seen coming out of Japan, brand name or not, seem to fit pretty well. The Buddy Club rail design is slightly different than some of the generic ones I have seen. Lets just say it should fit similiar to Bride rails, which is pretty good.

Yea, that's what I was thinking too. I really like the fact that everything is combined into one, making it much lower than the traditional set-up. SCC said they used it on their evo and loved it.

Looking at the picture of the buddy club, I am not sure if those are considered to be 'super low type' rails, the sidemount design seems to suggest otherwise. I'm not sure how tall you are, but I had a 'regular height' Bride rail before, and it ended up mounting the seat even higher than stock. I would consider goes with 'super low type' seat rails from Japan.

All I know is that my Sparco set-up without sliders was much higher than this one appears. Do you have a link to the "super low type" seat rails?

Actually, it's my bad, the Buddy Club box actually says Super Low Down rail. So I'm sure these will be fine. It's just the design of the sidemount which looks higher than the sidemount that came with my Bride FG rail. You can find pictures of the FG rail on Google.

I'm actually in the market for a different rail. The Bride FG is good, but the way everything hooks up is a bit more complicated than it has to be. Mainly it's where the sidemount bolts onto the base. Bride has about one too many parts.

Do you mind telling me where you are getting the Buddy Club rail from, and do they have them in stock?

Wow this is one crazy thread!

Ran into some fitment issues with my seat (not the sliders). Going to continue later on.
But I must say that the quality of this rail/base set is second to none. The welds are superb, the paint (powdercoat maybe) is perfect, etc. Just very frustrated that I'm so tall and the b-pillar goes in so far...

^^^ which sparco seat are you using?

i forgot to mention that most sidemounts that come with the JDM rails usually won't work with "plus sized" bucket seats like Recaro Pole Position, Sparco EVO 2, Recaro Profi SPL, etc ...

Even Sparco EVO and the Pro2000 has width that slightly pushes the envelope

Does any one know if these sliders would work with the stock seats? I would love to lower the stock seat a couple of inches.

I highly doubt it.

I'm using the Sparco Evo seat. I love it, but want to get some Pole Positions or SPG's in the future

No, they won't work with the stock seats (they are for sidemounted seats only).

Pitcherman - sorry I haven't got back to you...I ran into some fitment issues with my seat and will let you know how it goes this weekend

I have the buddy club rails with my sparco evo2. Just flipped the side mounts closest to the center console and everything fits just fine. Had to oblong the hole on the rear of the bracket that connects to the center tunnel, but that's about it. Have my seat on the highest setting and it's quite a bit lower than stock.

Wow...why didn't I think of that. So all you did was flip the sidemounts to move the seat away from the pillar, and towards the center console? Thanks a bunch.
