Default installed 02 wrx seats in the sti

i recently installed the wrx door panels and front seats in my 04 sti. i love them. i dont understand why a wrx seat would support u almost a 100 times better than an sti seat especially being that the car is performance oriented. i would reccomend this swap to anyone that hates there seats and doesnt want to spend and arm an leg. i paid 200 for both front seats and they are mint. it was a pain fishing them out of the car. i scratched my side skirt but i just needed an excuse to buy the painted wrx side skirts also. but for plug and play comfort and formality its so worth it. i wish i could explain the difference but if u have the chance sit in an 02 or 03 wrx and just feel how much better the seats are. probably one of the best things ive done to the car so far besides the steering rack bushings and springs. highly reccomended and cheap.

I have an 05 STi, and an 03 WRX wagon and the seats in the WRX are so much nicer then the STi. If they looked better I would think about switching them out.

they look nice they just dont have any support to them. sit in a 02 or 03 wrx and then tell me how u feel about the sti seats. big difference.

how much would it cost to get the wrx seats reupholstered to match? Or would it just be cheaper to buy the JDM recaro's?(about $750 a piece)

Just don't wear anything that has velcro on the back pockets. The velcro will rip/ pull up the seat fibers badly on the 02-03 wrx seats . Happened to me in my bugeye. Luckily, I already ordered leather interior day I bought car. Can't tell you how many times I was shocked trying to get out of car because those wrx stock seats produced massive amounts of static charge. I personally think you are crazy. The constant shocking was bad but when my girlfriend got in car w/ velcro back pockets and angora sweater, I about went ballistic. As I'm cursing under my breath at the seat, I get shocked trying to get out of car.
Best mod to the WRX I did was the leather door card inserts and leather seating. All charcoal. Matched the dash and console perfect.

Here is a pic. of my 02 bugeye after I had leather put in it. graphite charcoal is the color. Leather wasn't a fact. option until 04 in the ltd or whatever they called it but by then they were 1 pc backs where the 02-03 had the adjustable headrest like 1969 chevy's. Even the cops complimented me on the interior
