| Grassroots STI Racer | One suggestion I could make is once you pull the carpet, suck up as much oil as humanly possible, you could try a small amount of dish soap since it is an oil/grease cutter. Worst case scenario you put way too much and you spend a good 1-2hrs trying to get it to stop making suds. |

| Silver Member | man, throw me in the club of stpid idiots anyways. I had abot 3 gallons of oil that I ran down to dispose of which is like literally .2 miles from where I was living, just had it on the floor in the passanger foot well. Well... I get there guy says "oil drum is full" I got home and forgot about the oil because we were moving that week and I had a trunk full of stuff. Yeah, that spilled, DIRTY OIL, about 3/4 gallon I would guess got out. This was a while back, I got a beater finally and the STi is in the garage lacking interior right now as I try to clean up the mess. It needed a clean anyways, I'm trying to find a good way to clean the fabrics in the STi now beside the carpet. (that's why I'm in the section to begin with) |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | my girlfriend once left a gallon of milk in the trunk of my camry, in the middle of summer, in Chicago, for two months until I finally found what the horrible rotting smell was. Milk had blown up and half of it was sitting in the rear fender, sloshing around, getting stinkier.......Took 3 details to get the smell out. then we had a nice fight..... |

| Junior STI Driver | Well... Let's just say that oil doesn't come out of carpet very well... I tried degreaser, lysol, soap... I got most of it out but it seems that there is still some just "stuck" onto the carpet... Beh. I sprayed the **** out of it with Febreeze and put an air freshener tree under the passenger seat. Hopefully when the water dries up from washing it I can tell if there is still a puddle of oil sitting there. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
