I live in NC like the OP.
I'm 22.
0 points. (last one fell off last fall)
Credit score is in the 720's last I checked.
Been with Allstate since I purchased the car. (10/05)
Multi-car discount.
Still paying $952.20/6mo. (for the STi only; $1085 for both the STi and my 91 240SX)

I'll be taking a copy of my policy and going shopping at all the area companies soon. Maybe my agent and I can work something out. We'll see how that goes.

Flawless driving record
Average credit with a couple of blemishes.
USAA
$105 a month is what my online quote is. considering the car will be paid outright when i pick it up it should go down a bit more.

<--- 32 w/1 ticket in past 3 years.

I got a hell of a deal with AllState. 500k/500k on both liability and uninsured. $250 comp and collision deductable. Bundled in w/renters, I'm paying $726/6 months. Much better than I originally thought I'd get.

I am 23, NJ
I have a bad driving record 2 careless and 3 speeding left on my insunce now. I just got mine down with travlers actually ( they have an add on here!) 6 months i pay $1507.00
My high cost is one due to bad driving record / age. I heard that after 25 it goes down, atleast in my state and when you get married too.

Hey, I'm 25
04 STI and I'm paying $858.00 for 6 months. I go through State Farm.
My price actually dropped 25.00 a month from my 04 IS300. I was surprised.
It's also because of the mulitvehicle discount too I think.
I'll take it though.

Car: 1996 Dodge Intrepid (POS I know. Saving up for the STi so I have to deal with it.)
Age: 20
Location: Savannah, GA
Record: Perfect
Insurance Company: State Farm
Coverge: Liability and Uninsured Motorist Coverage (If I get in an accident I'm pretty much screwed.)
Price: $114.00 a month. It would have been $160 a month if I would have got a policy by myself rather than have my Mom add me on to hers.

It's bullcrap. The quoted value of this car is $740. I hate it too. It's reliable but my sister beat the hell out of it before she passed it on to me. I should take pics. It proves that most women can't drive.

^ wow that sucks... you should look into some cheapo insurance carrier like e-surance or mercury if all yuo really need is liability insurance... $114 a month is not worth it for the value of that car...

So I've been looking into online quotes through many of the larger insurance companies and it seems like it's going to be quite pricey for me here in CT as well. I just graduated college and I'm planning on purchasing an 06 STI. Gotta love the tri-state area!!!

21 Male
CT
Completely Flawless Record!
looking for full coverage 50/100 $500 deductible
Quotes hovering around 1600-1700/6 months

Hopefully, once I get a truly personalized quote and the credit check and all the other things that might aid towards discounts are accounted for, my quotes will go down. Do these quotes seem out of the ordinary to you guys, or does this seem about right?

its sounds okay but it depends which insurance company.
around 150 to 240 a month would be an okay price since they go by age and how long you have been driving and how long you have been with that insurance company. good luck
