I envy both of you, My insurance company wanted 800 a month for me, 1 accident that was close to 4 years ago and no tickets. I don't have an STI yet but soon I hope(I also think my particular ins. company specializes in screwing people)

You might want to shop around... seems like you are getting screwed there. I'm through state farm, 23, perfect diving record, and only pay $114/mo for full coverage. I get a lot of discounts (uncle is insurance agent ) but with a perfect record you shouldn't be paying that much.

^^ USAA Rules.

UrbanSti:I heard Lojack helps lower it a good amount, but wasn't sure, how much did it lower your insurance?

I was rear-ended in my 06' (Totalled) and now I have nothing........................!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking at buying a Modded 04' or a clean 06' again. Since I am not paying for it

My Geico insurance just jumped $40/month from ~$120 up to $161.

I called Geico and the customer service guy said the “rating” for my car ('07 STi) went from an "M" to a "Z" as a result of being reclassified (whatever that means). He explained that the rating was something to do with the cost of repairs from getting hit or hitting another vehicle.

Anybody else experienced this BS?

Age: 31
Car: 2007 STi
Location: Colorado (Boulder)
Company: Geico (10+ years)
Record: 0 Points
Coverage: 25k / 50k / 25k
Comprehensive Deduct: $50 (CO and windshields don’t mix)
Collision: $1000

i have an 05. i'm 26 and i live in MA in a very safe neighborhood. i got in one major accident 5 years ago and got one ticket for an invalid inspection sticker (i didn't get a new one when i bought the car because the old one was a month old, but you're required to have the car inspected again when sold so they can get another $40 out of you). so, i got 4 points for the accident and 2 for the ticket. for the year i pay $1300 for the coverage and $960 for the 6 points.

commerce
50k/100k/50k
$500 deductible
so, $2260 total for the year.
