That does suck. But it's at least not as bad as say...NY or NJ.

after i paid off my 7,000 bux in fines lol i was put on a sr-22 , then got insurance with progressive which put it to 1950 every 6 months with a 1998 VW Bettle TDI . note 1950 with out collision . then after a year and a half has gone by . it went to 1925 with out collision . had a few engine problems with the car due to 60k miles in 11 months . started to look for another car , found a white 04 sti on carmax for 23k . got the vin number from it and went down the street to baileys insurance to get a quote . they quoted me 1715 WITH collision for every 6 months on the STI . ( HELL YES ) . went to car max traded in the beetle ( 3500 credit ) . in order for me to drive the car off there lot i had to add collision to my progressive policy . no problem since i went to baileys the day after i got my WRX and switched companies . anyways . i added collision to progressive which made it jump to 4500 every six months . drove off the lot , next day switched companies . now only paying 1715 with collision every 6 months . which is much better then the progresive 4500 . week after i bought the car i was rear ended ( sux ) . car sits in the body shop now (release date sometime this weekend )

p.s. baileys go by the offense date and not the conviction date which helps out alot , they also said it will drop to 1000 every 6 months in december , and off the sr-22 in feb

Try safeco, they're the cheapest that I could find. I don't have multiple vehicles, under 25, and not married.

i hope to hell you mean 700 every 6 months.

i'm currently paying like 690 or somethign every 6 months for full coverage through USAA (veterans and dependants only). my old car was at like 80.

but i'm over 25 so that was huge. now all i gota do is get married.

I was reacting to soeone else's post earlier in the thread. I thought $700 a month was a typo, too, but when you think about where he lived, etc., well... I'm .

$600 every 6 months here. That includes

1) 01 Miata
2) 04 STi
3) 91 Mitsubishi Montero

All are "occasional use" because we both work out of home offices. Limits are in the $500K range with $1000 deductibles
