If you have had a major wreak it knocks it way up. I used to pay nothing for my insurance now its crazy afterwards. It will fall off in another year plus I turn 25 soon. If you are in the military USAA is the best way. I was quoted like 500 more every six months with all the other major insurance companys.

I pay 75 a month on a wrx, not bad, one speeding ticket...state farm. They called me the other day and said I get a 10% decrease...no real reason...that was a great phone call.

Wow, most of you guys should be glad you are not living in Nj. Besides the fact that Nj is the arm pit of the USA, its insurance rates are 2nd (might be 1st) highest in the nation. I'll be happy as ever if I get quoted anything less than $400 a month there this fall. I'll be extremely pleased if I get anything below $300. But that's dreaming...

I'm 21 with a perfect record. When I was driving my RX-8 in California, I was paying about $180 a month.

+1 for Ameriprise!

24 yrs old in North NJ with a clean driving record, was paying 333 per month with Geico, slashed in half to 165 a month with Ameriprise.
