way too much. it was better before i moved to ca where they charge me for having HID's. my tags are up,i'm parking it for awhile to save money and miles. i'm saving like 350 a month between insuraunce and gas,and the 290 for tags. i can afford it, but i have 3 cars, and figured i'd save some miles, and try to do some things that's require some down time anyway . i was driving 75-150 miles a day m-f for a long time

I just got married and my rates dropped to $168.00 Canadian per month. My wife is pregnant and once the baby is born the insurance company informed me my rates will drop even more. I used to pay around $250 per month.

It's going to be high. Try calling some insurance companies. Most will give you quotes over the phone. Or, try Geico.com or progressive.com to get an idea. It doesn't matter how many of us post our insurance rates, it comes down to a hundred little factors that only the insurance companies can sort out to give you a quote.

But, compared to other cars, the STI's rate is high. It's almost double the rate of my wife's Caravan.

here's a few of our most recent cars for a reference point....
06 Tacoma Double Cab
04 STI
04 WRX Wagon
03 Evo

yea i went to progressive and checked and there is an option for pleasure or for school use. and if u chose pleasure and bring the milage down to like 8-10 thousand miles you can get the insurance to like 360 a month.
