I am paying $156.25 a month (was paying around $250 a month for my 3000GT). Next month it drops to $110 (turning 25).

No tickets or accidents.

I've got an 06 STI Comp/Collision with $500 deductibles and liability with State Farm it's costing me about $100/month.

For reference I am 31 no accidents, tickets, etc. My 04 Honda Element with the exact same coverages costs about $35/month and my 04 CBR1000RR is about $40.

State Farm uses a risk index as part of their rate calculations. The risk index is mainly replacement/repair costs and frequency of claims. If I remember right the STI is a 31, a C6 Vette is a 25, and my element is a 13. The higher the number the greater the risk.

I dont think STI repair costs are very much, so it probably has to do with high rates of accidents.

I pay about 3120 a year, now I live in New Jersey so high insurance rates are to be expected, but that’s just downright silly. I just renewed and the price went up 400 a year. A phone call to Geico revealed that the increased price is due to a reevaluation of the repair cost on the STI.

Bottom line? You’ve got to pay to play, and since the STI is my only vice, I can live with the cost.
