and the insurance guy didn't believe me that the spoiler was standard on the car. He said that it will not be covered if anything happens to it?

Either go somewhere else or go back and bring the brochure. Then you can show the guy how much of an idiot he is. People who work in the auto insurance industry are supposed to research ALL modern cars, and apparently he doesn't, so...

It's up to you.

I would dump that agent. It's a really sad state of affairs how many people are in careers that they really have no interest doing at all. That agent is probably more interested in knitting than cars.

Exactly. You don't maintain clients through apathy.

I would just show him a brochure or something. If this is a national insurance company and he is your agent then you don't have to worry about the not being covered thing, if it's a local insurance company then I don't know.

OK...I used to sell insurance. That agent who you spoke with is not the one who is going to "really" say what is covered or not. Underwriters are the ones who know everything about your car. Say you "misled" the person saying it was a WRX...well your VIN shows STi. That means that the underwriters will refigure your premium rate. They are also going to know the specs of this vehicle and ensure you the correct car.

Bottom line...**** that insurance agent. Look for a hot chick that sell insurance...they always have hot chicks working in there...Thats what I did...I love paying my insurance. HAHA
